Because sodium bicarbonate has an alkaline pH, it can react with stomach acids, reducing acid burn, bloating, and even constipation. Excessive baking soda consumption, on the other hand, can be harmful to your health. It can even harm your stomach, so it's best to stick to prescription medicine rather than relying on unproven home remedies.
- Myth 3 : Sodium bicarbonate and lemon juice can cure cancer
On the internet, there is a lot of false information claiming that consuming a daily combination of lemon juice and baking soda can cure certain types of cancer. Using this kind of treatment is not only ineffective but also dangerous.
